Log on session is no longer valid. Would you like to log back in so you can continue working? If you do not log in, any outstanding data changes in your forms will not be saved.
Getting this message in Oracle Apps frequently. This is session timeout message. “ICX:Session Timeout” profile controls this in Oracle Apps. Ideal value for this is 30 minutes. Production is fine, but other environments, you may not want his message.
“Come on… !!!”
We are busy persons. We are working on multiple Oracle Apps instances like Development, Testing and QA and simultaneously, on other apps like Microsoft Word, Excel and many.
In between, you get a call.
” What is the status of work? Please update it asap”.
You navigate to the instance and what.. your session is not valid.
You click on OK and then again enter username and password. It irritates, right?

In this article, let’s see a small trick to disable this session timeout message.
Set ICX:Session Timeout profile
Navigate to System Administrator->Profile->System. Query profile ICX:Session Timeout for the respective user. Please note we are going to set it at a user level.
Change the value to the limit you want to set as below and save.
Log off and Login again.
This will make sure that your Oracle session will never time out for a smaller interval.
